Over the years, I have great passion in helping many people, especially young adults, to design their personal financial portfolios and make better decisions in their finances.

Having worked with so many working adults from different backgrounds, I realised that it is never easy living in Singapore. On one hand, living standards are rising with the things getting more expensive. On the other hand, they just couldn't commit to proper financial planning because of tight cashflow or commitments to their families.

Let me share a bit of what I went through. My parents knew how to count money, but they didn't know how to manage their cashflow. Hence, much of their savings were depleted when my mum was very sick with many health complications. And when I graduated, I realised that I wasn't out there to do something that was meaningful, I was just out there to find a job.

When I grew older, I have also seen families break apart because of money. And most people were living pay check to pay check, and didn't have enough to provide for their family, let alone having a secured strategy for their golden years of retirement.

And because of that, I have adopted best practices and strategies from UK, US and Australia to help as many young adults as possible in 3 ways:

- To identify their strengths and weaknesses of their current finances
- To enhance their assets and reduce their liablities
- To unlock their "dead assets"

HONEST AND TRANSPARENT

I was introduced Marvin through a friend for financial planning. During the session, Marvin was able to give me a comprehensive planning based on my comfort level of budget, while achieving my adequate level of wealth protection. He was also able to give me in-depth planning of different financial products to build my passive income.

What sets Marvin apart from the rest was his honesty about the hidden fees and pricing structure behind of some financial products that might be eating away our investment capitals, and how we can manage our finances like managing a soccer team.

I recommend Marvin to anyone who values honest opinions and ethical recommendations.

EXPLORE WHAT IS YOUR FINANCIAL BLUEPRINT WITH HIM

I was introduced to Marvin by a close friend of mine Shi Ni when I was about to graduate and take up my first full time job.

I really appreciate how detailed Marvin was in explaining the different types of financial products out there. He also went through me with on the common pitfalls when we choose products with the incorrect financial blueprint.

Compared to my past experience with other advisers, the other advisers would just brief me on the key benefits of the products they wanted me to buy, and I had no clarity and peace going ahead with their recommendation. Thanks to Marvin, he was able to assist me to understand the financial planning with clear concepts which allowed me to make unbiased decisions that suit me currently and for the future.

I would highly recommend Marvin to anyone who would also like to experience the kind of genuine advisory session that will help them make better financial decisions with their money.

Definitely the best agent!

I was very unfamiliar with the concept of insurance, and was unsure what to expect and whom i can seek genuine advice from. This was when my best friend introduced Marvin to me and we arranged a coffee session shortly after that. Marvin was very thorough in laying down the basics and explained the essentials that I needed to know. The experience was fun and engaging, and he was not pushy to push for a sale.

The experience with Marvin compared to my past experience was very different. Marvin has provided me a safe environment to find out more, and he was always being very neutral with his recommendations, without being pushy.

I can sincerely feel he’s a very kind person in his interactions, and I would recommend Marvin to anyone who is seeking for a long term genuine partnership on their financial journey.

Fong Shi Ni

FINANCIAL ADVISOR WITH GOOD ACCOUNTABILITY

I knew Marvin through the days when he was working in the same team with me in PSA. After he embarked on his new career as a financial advisor, I gave him the opportunity to see what he could offer. Before I met him, I had the expectation that it could be another sales presentation like what I have experienced with the previous financial advisor.

To my surprise, he was understanding on my priorities and he was able to help me understand the fundamentals of money management. Working with Marvin has never made me feel that it was just a one time sales transaction, he constantly updates me on the new market trends and how are my investments performing. This is totally different from what I have experienced with other advisors when it was all about sales transactions with them.

I would recommend Marvin to anyone seeking for a genuine person who is there to help, and who can provide constant support and good after sales service.

MEETING THIS MAN WITH GREAT PATIENCE

I got to know Marvin through my colleague's recommendation to start my adulting journey. Prior to meeting Marvin, I had no understanding of how insurance works and insurance to me is just an important subject but not urgent to me.

Marvin was patient to run through details of different financial products and strategies that would suit me, and he also gave me ample time to decide if I would want to engage him since it was our first meeting and I was uncomfortable in taking the first step with him.

After a year, Marvin followed up with me again and I felt his sincerity to help me get the important things in my life done properly together with him. I would say that he is indeed a patient and non pushy Insurance Agent that I have yet heard of. I knew Marvin for more than two decades as a close friend and I would like to say that he has an important attribute that not many financial consultants has. That is, he is a very patient person. He has the patience to listen to your worries; he has the patience to explain his thoughts. As a friend, he truly goes beyond his ability to help and as a Financial Adviser he goes beyond his call of duty to address your needs.

I still remember that he rushed over to my place to bring my father to visit TCM when he injured his knee at work. He also managed to file claims for us when we did not even know it was claimable. It was really an extraordinary service that you would not find in other financial consultants.

I chose him to manage my financial portfolio because I sincerely think he is one of the best out there to serve with good intentions.

Before I met Marvin, my financial products were always purchased from my family's agent without much consultation provided or much understanding from my side. Hence, I did not have good experience when it comes to financial planning.

One day, I reached out to Marvin after seeing so many of his success stories helping their clients. After understanding my situation, Marvin has helped me to walk through the financial products I had, even though those were not sold by him.

He has also helped to reduce my premiums, and advised me that financial products should never be bought like that to improve my finances. I felt that he could understand me and I was really glad that I sought for his second opinion and he has helped my family tremendously in many areas that other agents would not.

A STRATEGIC YET SINCERE GUY

I had a hard time coping with my expensive insurance commitments every month and it was through a friend’s recommendation that I got to know Marvin.

He seemed really sincere and set his heart right to help others, that's why I chose to work with him. I was overwhelmed by the ideas he shared with me. He also corrected a misconception that I had, as I thought more insurance plans definitely meant a better coverage.

Marvin is the fifth agent I have met so far, and what set him apart from the rest was the strategies that he shared with me so openly. He is not the typical guy that tells you everything from me/my company is good but focuses on "hard share" rather than hard selling.

Thank you Marvin and you will definitely be the person I'll refer to my friends if they are looking to reduce their insurance premiums!

110% RECOMMENDED!

Marvin was recommended to me by my colleague when I was considering to take up savings for quite a while since I came to Singapore for work.

Though it was our first meeting, Marvin made me comfortable in sharing my priorities with him, and he helped me to understand the different approaches of accumulating wealth.

His explanations were very clear and he was able to provide good advice based on my situation and possible needs that I would not think of.

Thank you Marvin.

Joseph Ng (Liang)

MY TRUSTED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT

I was introduced to Marvin through my sister's recommendation when I was looking through my insurance policies in Malaysia during Covid-19.

Marvin is a street smart person and who knows how to put things in perspective when I raised questions about using my Malaysia medical card in Singapore. His analogy of different stories and scenarios has helped me understand better and what I need to look out for if I wished to continue using Malaysia insurance to protect myself in Singapore.

It wasn't until Marvin has brought up certain limitations and blindspots that were not previously discussed with my agent in Malaysia before I came to Singapore few years ago. I thank Marvin for his patience in guiding me and his dedication to serve especially people who may be unsure of financial planning.

With much discussions on finding out my financial goals, he has also managed to align some strategies to address my important priorities, and strengthen my financial portfolio. I am glad that I am now in good hands with Marvin in Singapore.

Through his advisory work, Marvin has also shared with me the importance of good financial advice, rather than comparing for the best products. He has always make sure that my decisions are aligned to my financial goals. I am convinced with his integrity and sincere interest in helping others.

RESPONSIBLE AND ATTENTIVE FINANCIAL ADVISOR

We had known Marvin few years ago. He is a responsibility and friendly person. Over the years, he has given excellent financial protocol and kindness to help me and understand some of the information which I'm lacking especially the benefit of the insurance policy.

He has always provided guidance and sharing the insights of the current markets.

Marvin is also a problem solver, and has also resolved some of the issues for us, even when the issues were not directly under his area of responsibility. Based on that, we have received a lot of knowledge from him and to prevent future unnecessary pitfalls that most would not have looked out for.

Therefore, we strongly recommend he is a best financial advisor with big thanks for his attentively and patience.
